Communication + process consulting for leaders and teams
See what your team can’t see from inside the work.
Curiosphere helps leaders find the bottlenecks, missing conversations, and improvised processes slowing everything down—then turn them into work people can actually understand and use.
Ask better
questions.
clearer decisions
better handoffs
fewer workarounds
If everyone is working hard and the work is still not working, effort is not the problem.
Recognize any of this?
This is usually where I come in.
Most teams do not need more motivation. They need the work to make more sense.
01
Your leaders are saying the same thing in three different ways.
02
Nobody is quite sure who owns the next step.
03
The process lives in one person’s head.
04
Meetings reliably produce more meetings.
05
Everything is urgent because nothing is prioritized.
06
Heroic workarounds have quietly become the operating model.
Ways to work together
The right intervention for the actual problem.
No giant transformation program required. We can start with the people, conversation, or knot that matters most.

The Curiosphere approach
Curiosity, then clarity.
We start with how work really moves—not how the org chart or handbook says it moves. Then we build the smallest useful change that people can sustain.
A process nobody follows is just a document with excellent intentions.
01
Listen
Hear how leaders and teams describe the same work—and where the stories stop matching.
02
Name
Make the hidden friction visible: unclear ownership, competing priorities, missing decisions, or an unspoken conflict.
03
Rebuild
Design the conversation, decision rule, meeting, or process that resolves the real problem.
04
Practice
Put it into use, adjust what reality disproves, and make sure it works without me in the room.

About Joanna
I see story and system at the same time.
Joanna Strange is an executive coach, business process consultant, speaker, and WeWork’s first whistleblower.
For more than twenty years, I have worked across small businesses, nonprofits, startups, and executive teams. My background is in storytelling and directing, which turns out to be unusually useful in organizations: I listen for what people think is happening, observe what is actually happening, and help close the gap.
At WeWork, I learned firsthand what happens when belief becomes evidence, doubt becomes betrayal, and communication is used to maintain a story instead of examine reality. That experience sharpened the work I already cared about: helping leaders build cultures where people can say the necessary thing—and processes that do not depend on mythology.

Ideas inside the Curiosphere
What I keep noticing.
Ideas for understanding why the work breaks down before blaming the people doing it.
COMMUNICATION
Your process problem may be a communication problem.
The workflow is often fine on paper. The trouble is that people disagree about what the words mean, what matters most, or who gets to decide.
PROCESS
Stop building the business around your most heroic employee.
If one brilliant person must remember, rescue, translate, and chase everything, you do not have a strong system. You have a single point of failure.
CULTURE
Culture is a control system.
Culture tells people what can be questioned, which facts count, and what happens when someone says the inconvenient thing out loud.
Start somewhere real
Bring me the knot.
The team that cannot align. The process only one person understands. The event that needs to produce more than a deck. The leadership problem you cannot say out loud internally.
